Birthday weekend

glittertiggerLast week I took Wednesday off as planned holiday and then Thursday was unplanned holiday, due to my sports car sliding around too much in the snow for there to be any chance of me reaching work safely. Both days were relaxing, so I arrived at the weekend already in a good mood. On Friday evening zandev took me to Gee's in Oxford for dinner. The starters were excellent (I had scallops) as were the desserts. The main courses were fine, but not quite up to the standard of the rest. Overall it was a great meal and the company was good of course :)
I had a party on Saturday evening and proved that you can fit more than thirty people in a one-bedroom flat. Things did get rather hot and crowded, but nothing that couldn't be easily fixed by opening a few windows. I was delighted that so many people made the effort to travel from out-of-town. Apologies to those guests I didn't talk to as much as I intended. Hope to see everyone again soon, although possibly in smaller groups...
