A moment of nostalgia
Jan. 11th, 2007 01:07 pmI'm chucking out the contents of a filing cabinet which belonged to one of my predecessors and hasn't been opened in ten years. It's carefully organised and is full of hand-written notes, with the graphs neatly hand-drawn on graph paper. It has to go (I need the space) but it feels sad throwing away quite so many hours of someone's work.
I feel the same about my university notes, with all the crystal structures drawn and coloured in by hand (yes, I'm that old!). I can't bring myself to chuck them away, even though I never look at them and the blue ink is fading.
